Behemoth Design Updates
This will be a rolling update page, all confirmed changes will be updated with a ✅️.

The gamepad will now be dual functioning as either a stand-alone unit or integrated into the 100% frame

Getting closer, switch height was proving difficult to overcome but I came up with a solution! More to come.

Just cut the acrylic pass through plate, will work the edge lighting out in the next few days.

First rough render, I am trying to keep the footprint no wider than 24" but with the edge lighting I may need to extend it or condense the number pad and arrow keys like the original. However that was one thing that always bothered me so we will see!
- ✅️Gamepad will feature an edge lit acrylic plate with a 3D effect design. This also applies to the top V window. (*Possibly custom user specific, ill know more when my laser arrives.)
- ✅️The main frame will taper down from 25.4mm (1") to 12.7mm (.5") along with some additional cosmetic enhancements to the overall shape and stance.
- The Elite Edition is being added and will replace the top V window with a Stretched Bar Type IPS TFT LCD Display.
- Gamepad detachable via slide locking Pogo connectors(similar to switch controllers) it will also work as a stand-alone unit.
- ✅️Gamepad Keycaps are being changed from Injection mold with EPDM coating to Resin molded with Polyurethane Elastomer coating.
This is a time and cost savings measure, however I do plan to work with my manufacturer with the dies in the background.
- I am currently in process of modifying the overall design of the Behemoth to slim it down weight wise. (Current concept art is on homepage as well)
While the 10-lbs version is something to hold in your hands. Freight cost for overseas is astronomically high. I will be adding some sleekness and dimension to the top plate and frame.
For the unique Artisan keycap I have like 30 designed and will be uploading them shortly for a vote on the Kickstarter page
Since I have to make them individually I will be picking the top 10.
The unique switch function while completely customizable in QMK & VIA. I realize that not everyone knows how or wants to learn that so I will be creating a simple step by step guide and linking here to my repository on Github. The RGB effects will be preloaded on the firmware.
